Kidney abnormality forces doctors to give 9-year-old’s kidney to another awaiting donor



British doctors preparing to perform a kidney transplant on a young girl noticed the selected organ had an unusual abnormality: five renal arteries. The discovery forced doctors to find a different kidney for the child’s transplant procedure and a new recipient for the abnormal organ.
